Site description Includes upland tributaries and lowland plains in Attapeu Province. With relatively pristine upland areas, this province contains an isolated wetland complex of small pools and marshes that supports globally critically endangered species.
Biodiversity highlightsThe Giant Ibis, which was thought to be extinct, was rediscovered in this province.
There are viable wild populations of the critically endangered Siamese Crocodile.
